All you need to get started playing with an Xbox is an Xbox, an Xbox Live starter kit, Xbox Live enabled games, and high speed Internet. Follow these instructions in order:
First off, you will need around $350.00: Xbox ($200), Xbox 12- month subscription card ($50), and a couple of Xbox Live enabled games ($100). There may be sales for the original Xbox due to the Xbox 360 having come out, so you may be able to pay less than $200.00.
Buy an Xbox. Look for some great deals and maybe you could get a deal for $100.
Purchase an Xbox Live subscription card. I prefer the 12-month subscription, but if you want to go for fewer months, go right ahead.
High speed Internet is required for Internet gaming. You will need it because you need to hook up your cord that goes from your Xbox to your cable modem.
This step is one of the most fun steps of getting started with your Xbox: You get to pick any game you want to play through Xbox Live! There are a limited number of games for it. You can identify these Xbox enabled games by looking at the top part of the case of the Xbox game. There will be a gold line running horizontally below the 'Xbox' sign at the top. On that line will read "Xbox Enabled Game."
Insert the game disk into the disk drive and close the drive.
The game will start and when everything is connected, there you go! You are set and ready to play!
There are some accessories you can purchase that help your game-play. You can purchase headsets, text messaging keyboards, and many other items.
Xbox Live is an amazing thing. You can play with people all around the world, get ranks, find friends, and lots of other cool features.
I hope you all enjoyed learning about Xbox Live and hope you have fun using it!

How To Make a Free Website
Having a website has essentially become mandatory for any business or organization. Personal websites are also a good tool for promoting yourself and your life. Keeping up webpages can become somewhat expensive for a casual user. Luckily, there are several sites that offer free webpage hosting.
Geocities-Yahoo! offers a free website hosting option for their popular Geocities site. Features include 3 GB of bandwidth per month, 15 MB disk storage space, PageBuilder for users with no programming knowledge, and advanced tools for the more experienced webmaster. Online help is available at the click of the mouse. The domain name for a free site at Geocities would be http://www.geocities.com/username.
Tripod-The free plan at Tripod comes with many useful features including 1 GB of bandwidth per month, 20 MB disk space, several design templates to go along with their easy to use SiteBuilder tool, an HTML editor for creating your own page, and free clipart. Tripod is also compatible with Microsoft FrontPage, the popular site creating software. A free site URL at Tripod would be http://username.tripod.com.
Bravenet-Perhaps best known for their website add-ons like guestbooks and hit counters, Bravenet also offers a "free" website hosting deal. Their free package includes 1.5 GB bandwidth per month, 50 MB storage space, a web based FTP system, various website templates, and community supported help forums. While it is free to host your website at Bravenet, you must already have a domain name to transfer or you will need to pay to register one at the site.
Blog Sites-Blogs are a very popular way to maintain a personal website. These online diaries are an easy way to have a website and easy to update. Several free blog sites exist including Blogger.com, LiveJournal.com, or networking sites such as MySpace.com. These sites are a good choice for personal websites, but would fall short if you are looking to promote a product.
Choosing which free website is best for you depends on your needs. Estimate how much traffic you expect, storage you will need, and what tools are necessary for you to succeed. Remember, these are free sites, so if one does not work for you, try another one!

How To Block Your Cell Phone Number
Blocking Your Cell Phone Number Permanently:
The most permanent solution is to request a "line block" from your cell phone carrier.
To do this you simply need to call the customer service for your specific provider and they can block your number. When you do this your number will never show up to anyone.
To call your customer service to block your cell phone number, just dial 611 from your cell phone and you will reach them.
If there is a situation where you want your number to show up, you will still have an option. When you have a permanent block on your cell phone number you will need to dial *82 before dialing the number you are calling. When you do this your phone number will show up just once for that specific call. Ex: *82 (555) 555-5555.
Blocking Your Cell Phone Number Temporarily:
Sometimes you may want to block you number for a specific call. You might not want someone to know that you are trying to reach them for the 15th time in a row, or you might be calling a business and might not want them to know your number.
If you want to block your cell phone number on a call by call basis you need to dial *67 before dialing the number. Ex *67 (555) 555-5555.
When you do this you will not have any feedback that it worked. If you want to test this, just call your home phone, or anther phone that has a caller ID from your cell to confirm that your phone number is blocked.
One important thing to remember is that your number will not be blocked from emergency services or any toll free numbers.

How to Quit Your Job
This starts with your resignation. Under no circumstances should you let on that you’re leaving before you have a signed agreement and official start date from your new employer. If you jump the gun and blab to everyone and your job offer falls through, your best case scenario is that you’ve got egg on your face. The worst case, of course, is that your boss is insulted enough to fire you. Here are some other suggestions for making a smooth exit:
Tell your supervisor first: you want him to hear the news from you, not from someone else in your department.
Give two weeks notice: stay for the full period unless the company requests that you leave sooner.
Be modest: don’t alienate your colleagues by bragging or chattering incessantly about your awesome new gig.
Don’t insult anyone or anything: whether it’s true or not, show that you regret leaving such wonderful people behind.
Stay on top of your responsibilities: remember that you’re accountable for your work until 5PM on your last day.
Continue to adhere to office protocol: you worked hard for that corporate persona, so leave them with a lasting impression of professionalism.
Review the employee handbook: understand what you’re entitled to regarding benefits and compensation for unused sick or vacation days.
Organize your files: make it easy for your colleagues to find materials so that they can transition your workload seamlessly and won’t need to call you at your new job.
Do a great job training your replacement: these people paid your salary for a year or more, you owe it to them to leave your job in good hands.
Don’t take anything that doesn’t belong to you: this includes office supplies and work product that was not developed by you personally.

How To Cut Onions With No Tears
You've been asked to be the sous chef while your spouse plays the chef. One of your jobs is to slice, chop, and mince some onions. Just thinking about it, the tears start to gather at the corners of your eyes. Well, that might be a slight exaggeration, but we all know how bad it can be working with onions. The sulfur compounds found in onions are noxious and highly volatile, entering the air with that very first slice into the onion.
Following are four easy, tried-and-true suggestions for minimizing the flow of tears:
1. Remove eyeglasses. If you do not need to wear glasses to slice, chop, and/or mince, remove them. The sulfur compounds that are immediately released into the air will quickly rise to your face, getting trapped between the eyeglass lenses and your eyes. The burning sensation will be intensified.
2. Close your mouth or chew gum. Either way, keeping your mouth closed will help minimize the sulfur compounds from being ingested.
3. Place an unlit sulfur match (red tip) between your lips. The sulfur in the match helps to neutralize the sulfur compounds coming from the onions. Plus you are, once again, keeping your mouth closed.
4. Run the onion under cold water. The sulfur compounds are water soluble. If you run the onion under cold water during the large chop portion, many of the sulfur compounds will head down the drain. Then you can continue with a finer chop, if necessary, still following one of the above suggestions.
If none of these suggestions work for you, it might be time to find someone else to slice, chop, or mince the onions! Maybe you could be the chef and encourage your spouse to do all the pre-preparations.
